Cassidy grew up very untalented. She sang so much and so badly around the house that there is a “no singing at the table” rule that stands to this day.
She then studied classical voice for 9 years, and now sounds pretty rad singing legit repertoire up to an exciting, yet rarely used E6 above high C.
In college she developed her belt (up to an E5), found a mix that allowed her to tackle the musical theater anthology, and fell in love with folk music. Cassidy’s clear tone and sense of dynamics carried over from her classical days and allowed her to experiment with the rasp, ping, and soul of other genres.
Now in her professional career, Cassidy sings all kinds of music in musicals, on original cast albums, in cabarets, for movie soundtracks, in movies, and as a guest singer on albums or in concert.
TLDR; Cassidy sings incessantly and well, on stage and off, much to the chagrin of her friends and family.
